DISTEMPER THIEF FINED IN BIRMINGHAM
Admitting the theft of 14lb. of distemper from a City Transport Department garage yesterday, Haydn Glyndwr Owen, aged 42, of 46, Boscombe-road, Tyseley, a motor mechanic was fined £3 in Birmingham to-day.
He was stopped by a police-sergeant in Adderley-street, and in a statement, said he was leaving the department's garage when he saw a parcel on the floor of a bus. It contained the distemper, which he thought would be useful at home.
