His age is given as 8 on the 1841 Census, along with two other siblings that later censuses show to be born at different times. I suspect this is an error on the 1841 Census; it is possible that there was an 8-year-old David who died shortly after the census, and then another David was born shortly after that to be 10 years old in 1851, but it seems unlikely.
