        At the recent examination held at Cardiff, the following candidates were successful in pianoforte playing:-

        Advanced Grade.- Miss E. Arthur, Ely View, Tonyrefail; and Master D. Barrow Jones, Ely Street, Tonypandy.

        Grade II.- Master J. Elidwyn Evans, Bryn Miskin, Trealaw.

        Grade I.- Master Brinley Ritchie Davies, 36, Howard Terrace, Clydach Vale.

        Preparatory Grade.- Master Trevor Preece, Maesyrhaf, Porth.

        All the above are pupils of Mr. D. Lloyd, Haydn House, Tonypandy.
