SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. SKYRME.
A large number of Worcester citizens will regret to hear of the death of Mrs. Skyrme, of the Grand Stand Inn. The sad event occurred with great suddenness, the deceased lady experiencing a stroke of apoplexy on Boxing Day, and surviving only five hours. Mrs. Skyrme, who had resided in Worcester all her life, was well-known and very greatly respected. She had been associated with the licensed victualling trade of the city for many years, having formerly carried on, with her late husband, the Bird-in-Hand Inn, as well as the Grand Stand Inn. At the latter place, her connection with Worcester Races, the City Bowling and Quoit Club, and many social gatherings, brought her into contact with a great many people of the city and county, by whom she was much esteemed, and deep sympathy is expressed with the bereaved family.
