        BURIAL OF MR. EVAN LEWIS AT SWANSEA.

        The body of Mr. Evan Lewis, a vice-president of the Royal Institution, Swansea, and its curator for about 40 years, was buried in Swansea Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of representatives of the institution and other friends. The Rev. Ed. Jones, pastor of Ebenezer Church, officiated.

        The chief mourners were Mr. E. R. Lewis (nephew) and Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Gabe, Porthcawl (niece); Mr. W. Evans, Aberystwyth; Mr. H. Rowlands, Cardiff; Mrs. Rowlands, Mrs. Richards, Tonyrefail; Mr. John and Mr. Thomas Lewis, Penygraig (cousins).

        The Royal Institution was represented by Col. J. E. Thomas, Dr. J. A. Rawlings, J.P., Mr. A. G.Moffatt, Mr. I. Moy Evans, and Mr. W. H. Jones. Deacons of Walter-road Congregational Church present were Dr. Rhys Davies, Mr. W. Arthur Davies, Mr. R. Lewis, J.P., Mr. Albert Rosser, Mr. Ewart Davies, and Mr. H. R. Wakefield. The Swansea Hospital Board was represented by Mr. W. H. Brown (chairman), and among others present were Mr. Thomas Jones, J.P., and Dr. Joseph Lloyd.
