Narrative
There are two possible death records for Florence L Rundle, born 1882:
- Dec 1955, Totnes, Vol 7a Page 737
- Jun 1965, Kingsbridge, Vol 7a Page 492
Looking at probate records, we find no record matching the former, and a record matching the latter one for Florence Louisa Rundle of Cross Farm Cottage Loddiswell Kingsbridge died 7 April 1965. However, on the same page we find Florence's husband Richard Rundle of 16 Barnfield Road Brixham died 14 Nov 1964, with administration 1 Feb 1965 to their daughter Nora Ellen Ball.
If Florence was still alive on this date, we would expect administration to be granted to her, rather than to the daughter. Furthermore, we would have to explain why she would move house within months to a different part of Dveon, in order for the probate record to match up.
Therefore we conclude that the Jun 1965 death record must be incorrect, and so by exclusion the correct one must be Dec 1955.
