[Exeter Inquests.]
A third inquest related to the death of George Orpheus Bryant, 56, a labourer in the electricity department of the City Council, of 1, Warren-place. Deceased, it transpired, had complained of pains near his heart, and while returning from a visit to Dr. Harrison, on Monday evening, was suddenly taken ill. Two young men took him to the rooms of the Exeter Literary Society, where the Librarian, Mr. W. J. Codner, did what he could for the deceased, who, however, died before the arrival of Dr. Brash, who had been sent for. Dr. Harrison said deceased saw him on Monday, and asked to go on the Club. Witness said he would put him on in the morning. Death was due to acute bronchitis acting on a weak heart. A verdict of "Death from natural causes" was returned.
