Exwick Cemetery (where her husband was buried) has entries for the following:
- Emma Martha Nicks, buried 1916, age 84 (b 1832) - plot B42
- Emma Nicks, buried 1921, age 82 (b 1839) - plot V53
Cross referencing with Devon Baptisms (findmypast) shows there was a John and Emma Martha Nicks that baptised several children at Exeter St David, and that the other John and Emma Nicks baptised their children in Alphington. Therefore this Emma is not Emma Martha Nicks. The age is also a poor match.
The latter Emma Nicks is plausible but not certain - the age is not a precise match.
A plot number for her husband John is not given on the index cards; it would be worthwhile visiting both of the above plots to see if there are headstones which give any more information.
