Dear Thomas
I am down in South Devon (still finding odds and ends belonging to Dad) and came across this picture which says Miss Margaret Irene John on the rear 'Unit Administrator W.A.A..C, Hostel 2....BE7. Was a bit confused as it couldn't be my great grandmother (she'd died by then) so googled name + WAAC + Porth and the good old Rhonda Leader came up. She was Tom John's daughter and was sent to France in 1917,
