DEATH OF MR GODFREY THOMAS, NEATH.

We regret to announce the death of Mr D. Godfrey Thomas, of Gnollbrook-villas, Neath, which occurred at 7.30 on Tuesday morning. The deceased gentleman carried on the business of an iron merchant, and was well known on 'change at Swansea and in other parts of South Wales. He enjoyed his usual robust health until Friday last, when he had an attack of inflammation of the lungs, from which he never recovered. A consultation between Dr. Ryding, his medical attendant, and Dr. Griffiths, of Swansea, had been arranged for Tuesday morning, but the patient had expired before the latter's arrival. Deceased was a very active member of the Conservative cause in Neath, and was also vice-president and the chairman of committees of the Constitutional Club in that town. Mr Thomas was only 44 years of age, and deep sympathy is felt for his widow (who is the daughter of Mr T. S. Sutton, J.P.), and has six children. The deceased gentleman was a son of the late Mr John Thomas, printer, Llanelly.
