Narrative

John appears to have been baptised twice - at Wednesfield in 1785 and and Wolverhampton St Peter's in 1787. Ordinarily one would assume that this was two different children and that the first died in the meantime - but there are no burial records for a John Corbett in that area between 1785 and 1787, and the records for him later in life suggest a birth date of 1785. Therefore it seems most likely that this was one person with two baptisms.
