        PETTY SESSIONS, JULY 6.
        [...]
Mr. BLATCHFORD, of the Blue Post Inn, Harberton, was also summoned for a similar charge [of opening his house to sell beer or fermented liquors, during the hours of divine service in the morning]. Mr. Robins for the defence, said that the party had called for wages of Mr. Coaker's son-in-law, who lives under the same roof, and Mrs. Coaker had only given him a pint of cider belonging to her husband. Blatchford had never bought any cider for sale. Case dismissed.
JONAS COAKER was summoned by P.C. Anniss, for driving without reins. The defendant pleaded guilty. Fined 2s 6d and expenses.

[This is a rather confusing account, but it appears to be referring to Jonas Coaker, John Blatchford's son-in-law. He was living with Blatchford at the Blue Post Inn around this time, and none of his children were yet old enough to be married. I assume that it is the same Jonas Coaker in the latter case, but without further details it's hard to be sure.]
