It's unclear whether Oswald Jones existed. He is mentioned in the Aberdare Leader article describing his father's burial - but as one of the other sons was Evan Oswald, it's likely that the journalist confused this as two individuals. But the Aberdare Leader article describing his father's death, one week earlier, states that there were four children, implying that Oswald was indeed a separate person.

        Mr Lewis Jones, 48 Glynhavod, passed away on Sunday. Deceased, who was 38 years of age, was well known and respected. He leaves a widow and four children. Our sympathy is extended to them.
