FORMER WADEBRIDGE CARNIVAL QUEEN WEDS
Barnecutt - Fox.
The marriage took place by special licence on Sunday last at the St. Minver Church of Mr. Keith Barnecutt, R.A.F., only son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Barnecutt, of Rock Bakery, St. Minver, and Miss Joan Irene Fox, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Searle Fox, R.N., of "Fernleigh," Trevanion Road, Wadebridge. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. Griffiths, the service being choral.
The bride, who was the Carnival Queen at Wadebridge in 1939, was given away by her father, her eldest brother, Mr. Victor Fox, R.A.F., being the best man.
Misses Marie and Barbara Fox, sisters of the bride, and members of the W.A.A.F. were also in attendance.
The bride was attired in green with wine accessories and was attended by three bridesmaids - Misses Iris and Ann Barnecutt, step-sisters of the bridegroom, and Miss Bernice Ivis (friend), who wore dresses of pale blue with pitcure hats.
The reception was held at the home of the bridegroom after which the happy couple left for Blackpool, the bride travelling in an outfit of grey and wine.
