Narrative
Mary was married in Diptford, when she was "of this parish", and lived there for the rest of her life, but she was not baptised there. The closest matching baptism is on in Staverton, some 8 miles away, parents John and Mary. There are also burial records in Diptford that match these parents, and also one matching her brother Bernard - indeed these are all with a residence at the same farm (Murtwell) where Mary later lived with her husband. This suggests that the whole family moved from Staverton to Diptford before Mary was married.
