        In loving memory of Thomas, dearly beloved son of Richard and Mary Rogers, who died at Scobbiscombe, Kingston, on Tuesday 5 May 1914 aged 12 years.

        He suffered much, but murmured not, we watched him day by day with aching hearts grow less and less until he passed away.

        Also of Richard B. Rogers, their 2nd son, Lance-corporal Royal Devon Yeomanry, killed in France 9 September 1918 aged 25 years.

        Too far dear Son thy grave to see, but not too far to think of thee.

        Also of their eldest brother George who died 17 February 1953 aged 62 years.

        Free after much suffering.

        Mr. A. L. Rogers, Ashprington.

        On Saturday afternoon the funeral took place at Ashprington Churchyard of Mr. Andrew Lionel Rogers, of Ashprington Court, a well-known South Devon farmer, who passed away on the previous Tuesday at the age of 65 years.
