DEATH OF MRS. FRANK BASSANO.
We have to announce to-day, with much regret, the death of Mrs. Nancy Bassano, wife of Mr. Frank Bassano, third son of the late Mr. Walter Bassano. The sad evvent occurred on Monday afternoon at Rosslyn, Lower Hagley, where Mr. and Mrs. Bassano have resided for some time. They had only been married for about four years, and for a considerable portion of that time the deceased lady had suffered from consumption. Everything that skill and the best advice could do for her was done, but without avail. She leaves one child between two or three years of age. Mr. Bassano is well known all over this district, and much sympathy is felt for him in his sad and untimely bereavement. Mrs. Bassano was buried yesterday at Broome.

[WEDDING BELLS.]
McLENNAN - BASSANO.
The wedding was celebrated yesterday at St. Stephen's Church, Reefton, by the Rev. T. A. Milgrew, or Mr. Alan McLennan, of the well-known Ikamatua family, and Miss Enid Joan Andrea Bassano, only daughter of Mr. Frank Bassano, of Waimunga. The bride, who was tastefully dressed in a white gabardine costume with a blue crepe de chine hat, was given away by her father, and was attended by Miss Ross, attired in a biscuit coloured costume and a black and biscuit hat. Mr. Bryce Mirfin was best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony the happy couple were motored to Ikamatua where the wedding breakfast was partaken of. The young couple have the best wishes of a large circle of friends for their future welfare and happiness.
