        Mr. George Lear, Of Bishop's Cleeve

        Mr. George Lear, of Brookfield, Bishop's Cleeve, died with tragic suddenness while walking in his garden.

        Mr. Lear, who was a native of Devon, has lived in Bishop's Cleeve for a number of years. He was a member of the Magpies Skittles Club, and took a great interest in the activities of the village.

        As recently as Sunday evening Mr. Lear, who was a sidesman at the Parish Church, attended the service. He leaves a widow, a son and daughter.
